J.  Donald Porter & Co., Inc. (Porter & Co.), was founded in 1995  to provide specialized financial advisory and strategic management  consulting services for a wide range of participants in the domestic  utility and infrastructure sectors.  Drawing upon its president’s 35  years of experience in the investment and commercial banking industry,  Porter & Co.’s management has completed financings and related  capital structuring activities totaling in excess of $43 billion for  public power, private and Federal utilities, integrated energy  producers, energy equipment and services suppliers, and entities  involved in renewable energy technologies, combined heat and power  projects, and energy efficiency programs.  Porter & Co. has designed  and implemented some of the most successful and cost-effective funding  transactions for its corporate and public sector clients through its  multidisciplinary consulting, advisory and marketing activities.  

 Porter  & Co. specializes in utility financing, renewable resource project  finance, combined heat and power and energy efficiency/shared savings  program funding, strategic market consulting, political and public  relations consulting, and environmental risk management.  Porter &  Co. has structured and raised debt and equity financing, conducted  extensive financial feasibility and commercialization studies, owned  utility assets and performed other project development functions for  energy services companies, utility equipment and O&M services  providers in the district energy and general utility sectors.  J. Donald  Porter acts as the lead professional for our engagements, retaining  others within the investment community with specific technical resources  in applicable law, accounting, tax strategy, governmental/media  relations, and other areas as needed to successfully execute assignments  expeditiously, confidentially and with singleness of purpose.
